Car + Tree = Wreck!

So coming home from a school dance Saturday night, I was driving for the first time in the snow. . . I had a date with me and we were just planning on watchin a movie at my house. BUT when I made a left-hand turn I lost control of my car, the rear of my car slid way too far so I turned the wheel trying to straighten it out and I started sliding the other way, went over a curb and into a tree. I pretty much saw my life flash before my eyes, but when we got out of the car to see the damage, we couldnt find the dent until we saw the mark low on the tree, then we saw it at the bottom of the car. but it wasnt very bad. Im just so lucky the airbag didnt go off. well, I made it home ok, and when my mom opened the door, I just started bawling. so my date sat there for a half an hour just listening to me cry my eyes out. I felt so bad for him. Then Rachel came over to watch the movie, and then the next day she did the same thing!! imagine that!
(not my car!! ) ...google!

  1. Girl friend, this must be your first year driving in the snow. Let me give you a tip. SLOW DOWN!You can't go around the corner at the same speed you do in the summer time with dry roads.
Kelsey, I have seen you take corners. Remeber when we were in Iowa and I told you to turn and you did not even hit the brakes. That is the only time that the mini van has been on two wheels. Glad the air bag did'nt deploy and hurt your barbie doll face. That would have been tragic.

  2. Wow - scary - Glad you are ok. I really go slow in this weather and keep a big distance behind cars (ask Gerry). It could have been really bad so you were watched over.
