seminary council trip to cache cave

A couple of weeks ago, our seminary teachers took the council up to this private property that has all kinds of pioneer sights on it that nobody really knows about.

this is cache cave, this is where pioneers would stay in bad weather and would store food in for other pioneers. They also told us that they gave birth in here and such. and had fires, which explains the big hole in the top.

as you can see, we played in that whole, and rachel got stuck!

Im pretty sure this is "heart break ridge" looking up at this from a little further down you would think that just beyond it is a valley, which is what the pioneers thought. but when they reached the top, they realized that they still had a long ways to go with a lot more mountains to cross. thats why it was called the "heart break", cause they felt like their hearts broke at that moment.

this is an actual pioneer grave just along the trail.

the council! you cant really see my face..
me and rachel took a little ride on the back of the van :)
